Poland Left Without Russian Crude Oil

Deliveries of Russian crude oil across Belarus to Poland were stopped Monday due to a price dispute between Moscow and Minsk, Polish media reported.

The Polish Economy Ministry said there were problems in oil deliveries because of the Russian-Belarus dispute, similar to a recent one on prices and transit of Russian natural gas, Radio Polonia said.

A BBC report said Belarus has halted Russian oil deliveries to Poland, Germany and Ukraine via the Russian Transneft's Druzhba pipeline.

A Polish PERN pipeline company official said oil supplies were disrupted overnight and then halted completely at the Polish border with Belarus.

Piotr Naimski, deputy Polish economy minister, told reporters it was not clear whether Russia or Belarus stopped the oil supplies.
