Gomeltransneft restarts Russian crude oil transit to Europe

GOMEL. Jan 11 (Interfax) - The Gomeltransneft Druzhba company has resumed the transit of Russian crude oil intended for European consumers across the territory of Belarus, the company's General Director Alexei Kostyuchenko said in Gomel on Thursday.

"At 10:35 p.m. Moscow time Gomeltransneft Druzhba forwarded its notification signed by its director to Transneft (RTS: TRNF) and Druzhba Trunk Oil Pipelines in Bryansk that it was resuming the routine transit of oil to the territory of Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary in compliance with the latest agreements," he said.

"Specialists of Gomeltransneft Druzhba and Druzhba Trunk Oil Pipelines have begun coordinating their technological operations aimed at securing the continuous functioning of the oil pipeline," Kostyuchenko said.
