Belarus posts annual inflation

RBC, 11.01.2007, Minsk 19:17:46.Consumer prices climbed 0.8 percent in Belarus in December 2006, compared with November 2006, the republic's Statistics and Analysis Ministry said. Meanwhile, since December 2005 consumer prices had soared 6.6 percent, or by 0.5 per month on average. A year earlier, the annual inflation amounted to 8 percent. As reported earlier, the annual 2006 inflation was expected at 7-9 percent in line with the guidelines of the country's monetary policy for 2006.
