Kazakhstan Ambassador to Belarus acquaints with school in M. Auezov Street MINSK. January, 23. KAZINFORM. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus A. Smirnov started acquainting with the capital of Belarus with the secondary school #143 in Minsk, Kazinform refers to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belarus. This school is located in the street named after great Kazakh writer and scientist Mukhtar Auezov.
The Ambassador met with school staff, head of Zavodskoy district and took part in the awarding ceremony of the contest winners dedicated to the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana, which was announced by the embassy together with the principal of the school. 64 schoolchildren participated in the contest on three nominations: “Abstract”, “Multimedia Presentation” (senior students) and “Picture” (junior students).
Awarding winners A. Smirnov pointed out the usefulness and necessity of such contests. Due to them school students can learn more about Kazakhstan, ancient history of the Kazakh Land, cultural heritage of its people as well as the life and learning of their peers.
During the meeting with the head of Zavodskoy district and school principal the Kazakh diplomat proposed to establish permanent contacts and mutual visits of school students of both countries.
The monument to Kazakh soldiers died on the territory of Belarus was erected on the territory of the school in 2005. Bas-relief of Mukhtar Auezov will appear on school building this year.
