RF not consider Belarus' request of 100-bln-rbl credit

MOSCOW, January 24 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia doesn't consider Belarus' request of giving it a credit of 100 billion rubles in exchange for the transfer to payments in rubles in mutual trade, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Dmitry Pankin told journalists on Saturday.

"The figure of 100 billion rubles was mentioned in their letters, we even don't consider it," he said.

Pankin recalled that earlier, the Russian side agreed to give Belarus a credit of two billion dollars, one billion of which was transferred to Minsk in November 2008.

Pankin also said that the second part of the credit will given to Belarus after the signing of a plan of the two countries' joint actions to overcome the effects of the world financial crisis.

"Now we discuss a plan of joint actions to overcome the crisis. When the plan of joint actions is signed then will turn to the second part of the credit - - another billion," he said.
