Azerbaijanis in Belarus keen to obtain representation in state agencies

Azerbaijanis in Belarus are putting efforts to obtain representation in the country's high state agencies.

"Recently, the situation regarding Azerbaijanis' representation in the state agencies in the country's various fields, including in the Parliament, is improving,", Congress of Azerbaijani Communities in Belarus Chairman Natik Bagirov told Trend News today.

He said the Congress of Azerbaijani Communities in Belarus is not limited to Minsk. At present, a close cooperation is being established with the Azerbaijanis living in Belarus's five regions. "The Congress develops the relations with other countries' diasporas in Belarus, as well as Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine and Baltic," Bagirov said.

According to official data, about 100,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Belarus.
