Kazakhstan, Belarus to realize 30 joint projects for $20 billion

Kazakhstan and Belarus intend to realize about 30 joint projects for the sum of about 20 billion dollars. The Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus, Anatoly Smirnov, informed at the press conference devoted to the priorities of the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE in 2010, Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing the news agency BELTA.

According to BELTA, the head of the Kazakhstan diplomatic mission said that Belarus is involved practically in half of the industrialization projects of Kazakhstan and it means that goods turnover will essentially increase. According to A. Smirnov, in 2 - 3 years, it can increase up to approximately $3 billion.

"The diplomat noted that the questions of the Belarus-Kazakhstan cooperation were discussed during the summit talks and also during the visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergey Sidorsky, to Kazakhstan, during which almost all heads of the areas of Kazakhstan supported cooperation with Belarus."

The Ambassador said, "The Customs Union opens a wide field of joint activity - creation of joint ventures, manufactures, transportation of cargoes, and raw materials."
