Belarus to invite foreign teachers to train nuclear power specialists

The salary of foreign specialists who will prepare personnel for the Belarusian nuclear power industry will be 300% of the tariff rate of the first category. This is stipulated in Resolution No. 54 of the Council of Ministers of Belarus.

The Belarusian side will also pay travel and accommodation expenses for foreign specialists.

This pertains to specialists in physics (nuclear physics and technologies), radiation chemistry, radiochemistry, electronic monitoring and control systems at nuclear power plants, steam turbine plants, construction of heat and nuclear electric stations, nuclear and radiation safety.

Belarusian nuclear energy specialists are trained in four universities of the country: Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Sakharov International State Ecological University. In 2008, the first group of students were enrolled to study nuclear energy (220 students), in 2009 another group of 220 students joined them.
