MOSCOW, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Russia hopes an agreement on oil supplies to Belarus will be reached soon and that negotiations will continue on Thursday, Russia's Energy Ministry spokeswoman told Reuters on Wednesday.
"Talks are going on in a constructive way, tomorrow they will continue, we hope that an agreement can be reached in the nearest time," Russian Energy Ministry spokeswoman Irina Yesipova said.
Her comments follow reports from the Belarussian state news agency BelTA that quoted unnamed sources in Minsk's delegation as saying the talks had broken down. (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin; writing by Conor Sweeney; Editing by Sue Thomas)
