Belarusian Oil Company confirms contracts with Europe honored

Interfax quoted the Belarusian Oil Company BNK said all contracts for exporting petroleum products to Western consumers are being fully honored.

Mr Andrei Sinitsa BNK spokesman said "We have no information indicating that shipments of petroleum products are failing or have been suspended."

The management of the Mozyr Oil Refinery has confirmed, too, that contracts to ship petroleum products to the European Union are being strictly observed.

The Belneftekhim concern said "The volumes agreed are being shipped. But it said that its official statement on earlier reports will be released later."

Media reports earlier claimed that Belarus suspended shipments of diesel fuel to Western European consumers on January 17 2011 over the long-drawn out talks between Belarus and Russia on the price of duty-free oil for 2011.
