The construction of Belarus' first nuclear power plant will begin in September, the head of Russia's Rosatom state corporation Sergey Kirienko stated after talks with Belarusian PM Mikhail Myasnikovich. Kirienko stated that the governments may sign an agreement in this respect in late February - early March in Minsk.
The project will cost 6-7 bn dollars and a loan agreement between Russia and Belarus can be signed in June, Kirienko noted.
