Belarus KGB claims local NGO was getting ready to falsify elections results

Belarus KGB claims local NGO was getting ready to falsify elections results, local state TV reported. The KGB agents raided the offices of the located in Minsk non-governmental organization "Partnership" and claimed to find forged protocols of the exit-polls for the upcoming on March 19 elections. The falsified results showed clear victory of the opposition leader Alexander Milinkevich in 107 electoral posts, Belarus TV said. But there was no straight connection to him so he was not dismissed from the elections, local Central Electoral Committee said. The KGB sources said that the forged exit-polls signed by the US Gallup team branch from Vilnius.

The opposition claims that this is part of the intimidation campaign publicly announced by the President Lukashenko. The Belarus KGB, they say obviously invented the case to pressure Alexander Milinkevich and stain his name in the media.
