Azerbaijan, Belarus: Interior Ministres Cooperate

Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, colonel-general Ramil Usubov met with the ambassador of Belarus to the country Nikolay Patskevich, 31 Jan.

Ramil Usubov congratulated the Belarus Ambassador on his appointment, updating on the socio-political and criminal situation in the country, the Armenian occupation and its heavy sequences, incompetence of the then authorities of Republic which paralyzed state bodies and that Azerbaijan was on the verge of civil war.

Thanks to rich state experience and resoluteness of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, who, on demand of people returned to power, the country could save from annihilation and stability was restored, the Minister emphasized. "And now, President Ilham Aliyev successfully pursues the political line of the great leader", he added.

Speaking of the relations between law-enforcement bodies of the two countries, the Minister said that last years they have obtained new content, and the legal-standard base of cooperation has improved. Form of cooperation has notably widened, as exchange of data and experience, methodical literature and rendering assistance in training the staff.

Ambassador Nikolay Patskevich underlined that after the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Belarus, the bilateral relations have considerably bettered, and that these relations have reached a new phase. The Belarus ambassador said he would do his best for further deepening of these ties between the two countries, including between the interior bodies.
