Azerbaijan's Ganja Car Factory to Produce MAZ Cars Equipment of Various Fields: Factory's Director

Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 February /corr. TrendCapital S.Aliyev / Azerbaijan's Ganja Car Factory intends to produce Belarus MAZ trucks with the equipment of various fields (medical, laboratory, communal). The assemblage of the cars at the Factory will continue from March, said the Head of Ganja Car Factory, Khanlar Fatiyev, on 13 February.

At present, the talks are being held with several Belarus companies producing such equipment. "The talks will be completed in the near future," Fatiyev said.

Currently, the works are being carried out at the enterprise to modernize the manufacturing process. Equipment from Italy has been installed in the working square.

In March, the accessories will be brought to the enterprise to continue the assembling of MAZ cars. In addition, a service sectors will be established in the enterprise to serve MAZ cars in Azerbaijan. Also, it is planned to export the Factory's products to the neighboring countries as well.

In 2007, Azerbaijan realized 200 MAZ cars. In 2008, nearly 350 cars are envisaged to be produced in the Factory. At the end of November 2006, the contract for the production of all kinds of cars and tractors of the Minsk Car Factory and Minsk Tractor Factory was signed. Ganja Car Factory is capable of assembling 1000 trucks and 2000 tractors per year.

At present, Belarus tractors are assembled in Ganja Car Factory. Their costs oscillate between AZN 13,000 and AZN 35,000.
