PACE delegation to visit Belarus February 16-19

A delegation of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) is to visit Belarus on the invitation of the Belarusian parliament on February 16-19, BelTA learnt from the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.

The delegation will be led by Chairperson of the PACE Political Affairs Committee Goran Lindblad. The delegation includes Sinikka Hurskainen, Chair of the PACE's Sub-Committee on Belarus and Andrea Rigoni, PACE Rapporteur on Belarus.

The visit will be held in line with the preparation of a report of PACE Political Affairs Committee on the situation in Belarus. The delegation is to hold meetings in the both chambers of the National Assembly, at the Presidential Administration, the Supreme and Constitutional Courts, the Prosecutor's General Office, the Foreign Ministry, Information Ministry, Education Ministry, Justice Ministry and to meet with senior staff, professors and students of the Belarusian State University.
