Kazakhstan-Belarus coop discussed in Astana

ASTANA. February 18. KAZINFORM Vladimir Bozhko, Minister of Emergencies of Kazakhstan, Co-Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation met yesterday with Ambassador of Belarus V. I. Galeyev and Minister of Foreign affairs of this country, Head of the Department for Bilateral Cooperation with the CIS countries N. N. Demchuk at their request.

The meeting was purposed at preparation of a working visit of first Vice Prime Minister of Belarus V. Semashko to Kazakhstan scheduled for the second half of February 2009.

The parties stated positive dynamics of the development of bilateral trade-economic cooperation of Kazakhstan and Belarus in industry, transport, mutual trade, culture, tourism and sport that has been reached due to active work of the Kazakh-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission.

A number of bilateral documents in economy and trade are expected to be signed during the oncoming visit.
