New version of Belarus Eurovision entry tonight

Petr Elfimov, representing Belarus at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, will debut the new arrangement of his song Eyes that never lies tonight in a special guest performance of at the Greek national final. The show will be broadcast live on ERT in Greece, and online at ert.gr and eurovision.tv. International viewers can also vote in the Greece final through the esctoday.com official international jury vote.

Petr Elfimov was selected to represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest last month. He becomes the sixth representative of his country in the competition and is aiming to become the second Belarussian to react the final after Dima Koldun's 2007 entry Work your magic qualified from the semi final and reached sixth place. No other entry from Belarus has reached the Eurovision Song Contest final, with Angelica Agurbash getting closest in 2005 when she reached 13th place in the Kyiv semi final.

Tonight, during the Greek national selection final, Petr will perform the new master version of the song, revealing how it will sound at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. The musical idea of the song will stay the same, but arrangement, mix and mastering will be filled with the sounds of live string orchestra, the harp and grand piano. Sound engineering was completed by Mikko Karmila.

The remastered version of Eyes that never lie was recorded in Helsinki, Finland at the famous Finnvox Studios. it was produced by Tero Kinnunen, the producer of world renowened Nightwish, a leading operatic metal band that are popular throughout the world. The musical idea of the song will stay the same, but arrangement, mix and mastering will be filled with the sounds of live string orchestra, the harp and grand piano to provide a much stronger sound.
