Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum held in Baku today

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum has been held in Baku today within the visit of the Minsk province's delegation led by Minsk governor Leonid Krupets.

At the forum opening the latter voiced a hope that the delegation's visit would allow to establish new bridges of profitable co-operation between the two countries.

The Minsk province is the biggest part of Belarus Republic. Industrial sector, agriculture, processing industry are developed most of all here. We display great interest to Azerbaijan's experience in both above-mentioned and other sector of activity which we can use in the province," Krupets said.

Mikail Jabbarov, deputy economic development minister of Azerbaijan, said that economic ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus have developed over the last few years.

"It is a gladdening fact and we are interested in further study of the Byelorussian market. We are also supporters of expansion of partnership links with Belarus not only within Baku but also in districts. For that we are ready to give necessary support on behalf of the government," Jabbarov said.

Nikolay Patskevich, the Byelorussian ambassador to Azerbaijan, stressed that in the curse of meetings with reps of a range of Azerbaijani governmental agencies it was defined that there is mutual interest to further promotion of two countries' relationships and there is political will for that.

The forum involved by 20 reps of Byelorussian and Azerbaijani companies respectively.

An exhibition of Byelorussian products has been held within the forum. The products were presented by different industries of Minsk province's manufacture, in particular production of food, furniture, timber processing, and automobiles. Among the companies whose reps arrived in Baku are such as Minoblmyasomolprom (meat and dairy production), Minsk Oblpotrebsoyuz, Belarus Motor Works, Slutsk Cheese Factory, Slutsk Meat Factory, etc.

The Minsk delegation's visit started on 21 February is due to last until 25 February.
