IMF Reaches $700 Million Loan Agreement With Belarus

(RTTNews) - The International Monetary Fund has reached an agreement with Belarus to grant a final tranche of $700 million in loan to the Baltic state as part of the fourth and final review of the country's stand-by arrangement.

An IMF statement said the deal will come under the consideration of the fund's executive board before the end of March.

The statement added that the Belarus government had expressed interest in continued cooperation with the fund after the expiration of the current program and that the idea of a follow-up program could be explored.
