Alcatel-Lucent will supply Alternative Digital Networkwith its OmniStack 6224 Ethernet Switches for the development of in-building and distributed access networks, and its OmniSwitch 6850 Layer 3 Ethernet Switches for the delivery of line-rate gigabit switching and routing performance.

Alternative Digital Network (operating under Atlant Telecom and Shparki Damavik brands) offers broadband Internet access based on ADSL and Ethernet technologies.  By September 2009 its total uplink data rate equaled 700 Mbps.  The company - with its entire range of services - is present in the cities of Minsk, Gomel, Grodno, Brest, Vitebsk and Mogilev.  All these cities take part in the initiative to roll out 100 MB Ethernet networks.
