Poles manifest support for pro-democratic Balerusians
A series of civic initiatives in solidarity with the pro-democratic opposition forces in Belarus has started across Poland.
Warsaw is one of the major cities where special concerts, happenings, open film shows and manifestations are being held throughout the week preceding the scheduled presidential elections in Belarus.
Posters with words of support for the democratic aspirations of Belarusian people are being set up along routes leading from the Polish capital eastward to the border with Belarus. Money collections are also being organized for the families of persecuted and arrested activists opposing the Lukashenko regime.
