Ukraine Foreign Ministry demands explanations from Belarus

Ukraine Foreign Ministry urges Belarusian authorities to render explanations on incident with the 5th Channel journalists, Vasyl Filipchuk Foreign Ministry spokesman told. As a reminder, despite the accreditation and valid permission, the 5th Channel journalist and cameraman were forbidden Belarus.

"We urge Belarusian authorities to make every effort for investigation of the incidents and to render corresponding explanations why Ukrainian citizens are forbidden the country," said Filipchuk.

"We won't allow treating our citizens this way. If such incidents happen again, Ukraine will give a corresponding response," stressed Filipchuk.

Yesterday, Ukraine Foreign Ministry invited Belarusian Ambassador and held negotiations on this matter.
