Between 6 and 7 Thousand People are Gathered at the Oktyabrskoy square in Minsk

Minsk. Between 6 and 7 thousand people are gathered at the Oktyabrskoy square in Minsk in response to calls of the oppositional candidate for President Aleksandar Malinkevich, world media announced. According to journalists there, no police can be seen at the square, but some eyewitnesses said there are police vehicles with policemen inside in the streets around the square.

Preliminary results from exit polls before the end of the election day in Belarus show victory for the acting President of the country Aleksandar Lukashenko, who receives the support of 82.1% of the voters, RIA Novosti reported, citing the EkooM Analysis Center. According to the Director of the center Sergey Musienko, 82.1% voted for the acting President. 4.9% voted for Sergey Gaydukevich, 2.5% for Aleksandar Kozulin and 4.4% for Aleksandar Milinkevich.
