Belarus to EU: Stop Intervention

Minsk, Mar 27 (Prensa Latina) Belarusian state television accused the European Union (EU) Monday of direct intervention to destabilize the internal situation in collusion with the most radical opposition.

In a news release, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana is claimed responsible for ordering the opposition leader Alexander Milinkievich to realize illegal protests, according to the National Security Committee.

Before elections, that entity presented a denunciation against some diplomatic groups mostly from bordering nations, that had been conspiring to trigger protests on the streets.

It added that Milinkevich was declared the only opposition candidate for the presidential voting and is buttressed by the US and the EU, even with financial support.

Meanwhile, grassroots organizations demanded the US president and Department of State stop meddling in Belarusian domestic affairs.

These groups called for week-long protests in front of Lithuania, Poland and France embassies for exerting pressures against the government of President Alexander Lukashenko, who was democratically elected.
