Russia and Belarus postponed signing of trading agreement

According to Deputy Head of Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation, Vitaliy Saveliev, Russia and Belarus postponed signing of agreement on development measures of trading-economic cooperation. Head of Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation German Gref and Vice-premier-miniter of Belarus Andrey Kobyakov should have signed this agreement.

According to Saveliev, because Belarus introduced some proposals needed additional working out, the agreement could not be signed right away. These proposals refer to shifts of terms in regards of entering into force of some articles of the agreement as well as to requirements of facilitating of customs procedures for transport means importation from Belarus to Russia.

In addition, Saveliev informed that they suppose to sign the agreement on sugar imports from Belarus to Russia as these two agreements are connected with each other. According to him this agreement should be sign after the general agreement on trade development.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister informed that agreement on development measures of trading-economic cooperation supposes cancellation of any limits for trade between two countries.
