Lukashenko, Putin discuss construction of Union State

MINSK, March 6 (Itar-Tass) - Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday to discuss the construction of the Union State and the strengthening of bilateral relations in different fields.

"During the conversation, Lukashenko and Putin discussed the construction of the Russia-Belarus Union State, the strengthening of trade and economic relations, humanitarian cooperation, security and joint actions in foreign policy," the presidential press service reported.

The conversation "also focused on the state of and prospects for the development of relations between Belarus and other Western states", the press service said.

Lukashenko and Putin exchanged views on the construction of Olympic facilities in Krasnodar Territory with Belarus's participation, the press service said.
