Belarusian .NET Developers to Discover Silverlight 3.0 Before the Release

2009-03-19 14:18:18 - The first presentation of Silverlight 3.0 in Belarus will take place at the Belarus .NET User Group meeting with the participation of Microsoft.

March 18, 2009, Minsk, Belarus - Sergiy Baydachnyy of Microsoft Ukraine will deliver a technical review of Silverlight 3.0 and talk about its upcoming features. The session will be followed by the presentation of Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0-the technology for defining, executing, and managing workflows-by Andrei Varanovich, Microsoft MVP. Those who are not able to attend the event can see both presentations on March 20 in Brest at the Brest .NET User Group meeting. The event is supported by the Minsk Institute of Management and Altoros Systems, a global software delivery acceleration specialist.

'Together with our colleagues from Microsoft Ukraine, we continue the series of events, at which one can receive firsthand information about Microsoft's latest releases,' said Andrei Varanovich, the leader of the Belarus .NET User Group. 'I always stress that another .NET UG meeting is a good chance to meet old friends and make new ones. In 2009, the Belarus .NET community has widened with Brest. I'm pleased that the amount of people who care about their professional improvement increases. I hope that a joint meeting of Belarusian .NET developers from several cities, a kind of local .NET summit, will be a reality before long.'

.NET Meeting Agenda

1. 'Silverlight 3.0'

Speaker: Sergiy Baydachnyy, Developer Evangelist, Microsoft Ukraine, Kyiv

Until now, Microsoft has kept most of the new capabilities that will appear in Silverlight 3.0 a secret. Microsoft has not yet announced the official technology release date, but it is scheduled for this year. This will be the first presentation of Silverlight 3.0 in Belarus.

2. 'New Features of Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0'

Speaker: Andrei Varanovich, the leader of the Belarus .NET User Group, Minsk

During this session, you will learn about the new types of workflows, improved integration with WCF and ASP.NET, and the changes in the object model, which will enable easier and faster development of applications using WF.
