Vietnam, Belarus boost ties

VietNamNet Bridge - Vice National Assembly Chairman Uong Chu Luu received the President of the Belarussian friendship parliamentary group to Vietnam, Busko Vitali Leonidovich, in Hanoi on March 11.

The NA Vice Chairman said he believed that the visit by the Belarussian MP delegation will lead to increased cooperation between the two countries in several new fields.

He also welcomed the signing of a framework cooperation deal between the group and the Vietnamese legislative body.

President Leonidovich said that he hoped to expand the scope of his country's cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the economic, trade, tourism, science and technology, education and training and culture and sports sectors.

The agreement will act as a legal foundation for future cooperation between the two countries, he said.
