Mom wants body back at Belarus
PANAJI: The mother of the 28-year-old woman, Olga Babich, whose body was found floating in a creek at Fernandes Vaddo at Siolim on March 8, has told the embassy that she wants to bury her daughter in their hometown in Belarus.
"The Belarus embassy officials have authorized an undertaker from Goa to send the body to Mumbai on Wednesday, from where it will be flown to Belarus," said Anjuna police sources. Babich was staying in a rented apartment for the last five months with her Russian boyfriend Michael Chikin. She was found dead in the afternoon on March 8, a few hours after her boyfriend Chikin was admitted to GMC following a drug overdose the same day.
