Belarus wants to bolster trade ties with Viet Nam

Ha Noi, Apr. 1 (VNA) - Belarussian President Aleksander Lukashenko has affirmed that his country wishes to bolster economic and trade relations with Viet Nam.

President Lukashenko made the statement while receiving newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Xuan Ninh, who presented his credentials on Mar. 29.

Belarus wants to import more farm produce such as rice, coffee and tea from Viet Nam, Lukashenko told the Vietnamese diplomat.

"Belarus and Viet Nam have a trusting friendship," the President stressed, adding that the two countries have maintained regular high-ranking political dialogues.

Vietnamese Ambassador Ninh emphasised that the Vietnamese Government and people will always develop their friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Belarus.

Fine developments have been seen in bilateral cooperation in politics, economics-trade, science-technology, education and other fields, Ninh noted.

"Viet Nam is interested in expanding its economic and trade ties with Belarus for mutual benefit," said the Vietnamese diplomat.-Enditem
