Belarusian Prime Minister Winds up Cuba Visit

By JULIO GOMEZ LLUCIA

Belarusian Prime Minister Serguei Sergueievich Sidorski said his visit to Cuba was very positive, as demonstrated by the agreements signed that further strengthen bilateral relations.

Shortly before leaving the island, Sidorski commented on the very positive encounter he had with Cuban President Fidel Castro and the business deals signed by the Belarusian business representatives that accompanied him on his visit.

Cuba and Belarus signed five deals in the areas of transport, air services, politics, legal matters and the exchange of information.

After reiterating that Cuban-Belarusian relations are very strong, Sidorski said that he would immediately report to Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko on the results of his visit.

The official and his accompanying delegation wrapped up their three-day visit to Cuba with a tour of the tourist resorts of the province of Matanzas to learn more about this industry.
