Belarus KGB arrested opposition leader's aide

Agents from the Belarus KGB on Tuesday evening arrested Anatoly Lebedko, chaiman of the United Civic Party - a top aide of Aleksandr Milinkevich - opposition's leader, and held him without informing relatives all Wednesday. He was allowed to phone his wife on Thursday morning but had not been released by afternoon, opposition spokesmen said. Lebedko reportedly will face charges of anti-state terrorism for his participation in more than a week of anti-government marches in late March. Police used clubs and tear gas to end the demonstrations. Lebedko said that the KGB agents stopped his car, dragged him from it, tied his hands and put a blindfold on his eyes. They did not show any ID's to him.
