Belarus president leaves for visits to Oman, India

MINSK, April 14 (Itar-Tass) - Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has left for official visits to Oman and India.

Lukashenko will have talks with Oman Sultan Qaboos bin Said in the capital Muscat to discuss mainly stepping up of bilateral relations, first of all in the trade and economic area, the Belarussian presidential press service said.

The talks are expected to result in several agreements, including on double taxation prevention and cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries.

During the official visit to India, a wide range of Belarussian-Indian cooperation issues will be discussed, including possibilities for further scientific-technical cooperation intensification, the press service said.

The Belarussian and Indian presidents are expected to sign a joint declaration.
