Belarus interested in agriculture cooperation with Iran

Belarus Ambassador to Iran Leonid Rachkov said on Saturday that his country is keen to develop cooperation with Iran in the field of agriculture.

In his meeting with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jihad for development and educational affairs Peyman Falsafi, Rachkov said that promotion of Iran-Belarus cooperation is essential and helpful due to the difficult situation and the price hike of consumer goods around the world.

Being one of the most reputable exporters of potassium fertilizer, Belarus has no limit to export the product to Iran, the ambassador said.

He added that the country is producing tractors having high standard and fair price being suitable for exporting to world countries including Iran.

Referring to Iran's agricultural potentials, he called for holding training courses for students and experts at agriculture in both countries.

After 8th session of Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Commission held recently, the two countries are to implement the agreements inked at the session, he said.

Peyman Falsafi said that Iran will export tropical fruits including date, pistachio and saffron to Belarus.
