Several regions of Belarus completed sowing campaign of early grains and legumes

Several regions of Belarus completed the sowing campaign of early grains and legumes, declared the press-cutting service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Five regions in Gomel oblast completed the spring sowing campaign, and one region of Brest oblast has also finished all works, added the media department.

According to the data of the Ministry, as of April 10, agrarians sowed spring grains and legumes (without maize) throughout 403.600 ha or 40% of planned areas. Gomel and Brest oblasts showed the highest rates of the sowing campaign, where agrarians provided the filed works throughout 77.7% and 69.6% of planned areas respectively. Agricultural economies of Grodno oblast sowed 57.6% of land areas, Minsk oblast - 30%, Mogilev oblast - 12.1%, Vitebsk oblast - 8.6%.

Belarus plans to complete the mass sowing campaign of grains and legumes on April 20-22, informed the press-cutting service of the Ministry.
