Defence Minister greets Belarusian guest

Vietnam's Minister of National Defence Phung Quang Thanh received in Hanoi on April 1, the First Deputy President of the Belarusian National Committee for the Defence Industry, P. A. Golovchenko, who is on a visit to Vietnam.

Minister Thanh expressed his pleasure at fine development in co-operationn in military and national defence between the two armies while meeting with Golovchenko. He went on to express the hope that those relations would continue to develop for the mutual benefit of the two States, armies and people.

Golovchenko, who is also Chairman of the Belarusian sub-Commission of the Vietnam-Belarus Inter-governmental Commission on Military Technology Co-operationn, briefed his host on the results of his current working visit. He also said he looked forward to agreements reached at the 10th freshly-ended session of the Inter-governmental Commission being promptly implemented. (VNA)
