Election losers in Association of Poles in Belarus turn to Minsk for justice

The Belarusian Justice Ministry has declared legally invalid the March congress of the Association of Poles in Belarus. According to unofficial sources, the reason for the decision have been protests addressed to the ministry by a group of participants disappointed with the manner in which the congress of this biggest Polish organization in Belarus had been conducted. A new chairman of the Association of Poles in Belarus, Angelika Borys, has been elected. The hitherto leader, Tadeusz Kruczkowski and his supporters refused to acknowledge their defeat.
