Polish-French-German summit meets

The leaders of Poland, France and Germany have appealed to voters in France to adopt the EU constitution. Aleksander Kwasniewski, Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder met at the Weimar Triangle summit in Nancy, France, 10 days before the crucial French referendum on the treaty.

President Kwasniewski called on the European Union to help protect the Polish minority in Belarus. Speaking at the Nancy summit, the Polish leader expressed concern over the expulsion of a Polish diplomat from Belarus.
