Belarus Pres. Predicts Global Collapse

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko forecasted worldwide financial downfall on Tuesday, reportedly stating in his annual address that, "If the prices of energy sources continue to grow on global markets, this may lead to the collapse of global economy," according to a Moscow News article.

He pointed to the present instability worldwide, noting that the "[s]ituation in the world is even more unstable that it used to be five-ten years ago."

He cited two factors negatively influence Belarus: unprecedented pressure from the West and rising energy prices. - ST
