President Ahmadinejad leaves Minsk for Tehran

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wound up his two-day visit to Belarus and left Minsk for Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.

The Iranian president, was seen off by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko along with the country's high ranking officials, left Minsk for Tehran.

During his stay in the country, the Iranian president conferred with his Belarus counterpart on expansion of cooperation as well as regional and global issues.

President Ahmadinejad arrived in Minsk Monday on a two-day visit to hold talks with the Belarus officials.

Ahmadinejad's visit to Minsk is taking place at the invitation of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Commerce Massoud Mir-Kazemi, Majlis deputies Mohsen Kouhkan and Alaeddin Boroujerdi and Managing Director of Iran Khodro Auto Manufacturing Company Manouchehr Manteqi were accompanying the president.

The Iranian and Belarus officials signed agreements on expansion of cooperation in different fields.
