Kirkorov furious about results

The author of the Belarussian entry for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest Philip Kirkokov has said to be furious about their entry's final placing, 6th.

According to the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaja Pravda, the Eastern European superstar Philip Kirkorov wanted to return back home from Helsinki only with the victory of the Eurovision Song Contest. The main reason for the 6th final position is said to be the bad performance by the Belarussian singer Dmitry Koldun whose performance is considered to have been worse on Saturday than in the semifinal last Thursday.

The newspaper also expressed their satisfaction with the Russian entry, Serebro and their song "Song #1" and forecast pan-European success for the Ukrainian performer Verka Serduchka.

Belarus finished 6th and Russia 2nd at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki and are directly qualified for next year's final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
