CIS heads of governments to discuss 21 issues in Minsk

Baku. Lachin Sultanova -APA. The Council of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) heads of governments will hold its next meeting on May 23, 2008 in Minsk, Belarus.

21 issues were included in the agenda of the meeting, APA reports. The main issues to be discussed in Minsk are the project of strategy of CIS economic development, agreed transport policy and joint measures for increasing of food security. Earlier working groups were established on these issues and they were regularly meeting to discuss the documents to be submitted to the Council of heads of governments. Draft Convention on legal status of migrant workers and their families in CIS space and plan of preparations for celebration of 65th anniversary of victory in Great Patriotic War will also be discussed at the meeting. Belarus will hand over the chairmanship in the Council of heads of states to Ukraine.
