Belarus, Iran think alike on world order - Lukashenko

MINSK. May 22 (Interfax) - Belarus and Iran have no political or diplomatic problems in their relations, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told Iranian Industries and Mining Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian in Minsk on Thursday.

"I care much for cooperation with our Iranian friends. We have no problems in the political and diplomatic spheres. We think alike about the world order and we want it to be multi-polar," he said.

"We have no omissions or problems in the relations with Iran, which are solidly based on trade and economic cooperation," Lukashenko said.

"Both nations can be satisfied with the dynamics of their contacts," he noted.

"Trade and economic relations grew manifold last year, but $80 million worth of trade still fell short of the potential. We are ready for world-scale trade of $1 billion or more," he said.
