Armed Forces Of Belarus Renovate Sports Equipment

The armed forces of Belarus plan to buy 30,000 pairs of skis and sports uniforms for soldiers, reports Colonel Alexei Miroshnichenko, chair of the sports committee of the armed forces of Belarus. According to Miroshnichenko, whereas about 20 million rubles has been allocated for all physical training in the armed forces until 2004, in 2008 the state allocates more than 200 million rubles for development of the training material base for physical training. With this money the armed forces repair gyms and sports facilities of military units. It is planned to supply all military units with sports uniforms and shower cubicles by 2012.
