Baltic Oil seals Belarus export deal

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Baltic Oil Terminals has agreed a long term contract with a major supplier for the export of M-100 fuel oil from Belarus, it said today.

Deliveries of the oil, to be transported by rail in lots of up to 35,000 tons a month, are due to begin in June. The product will be delivered in the Baltic Sea area and to Rotterdam.

In April, Baltic shares rallied on news of a pick up in conditions and a deal with a major supplier for the export of low sulphur straight run fuel oil from Kazakhstan.

That fuel is currently being transported by rail in lots of 25,000 tons per month.

Then, it confirmed that results for 2008, due out on 29 May, were "broadly" in line with expectations despite a challenging fourth quarter and start to the new year.
