Oman, Belarus -Training & exchange of expertise cooperation

Oman (Muscat) - Sayyid Saud bin Ibrahim al Busaidi, Oman Interior Minister received Maj.Gen Anatoly N. Kuleshov, Interior Minister in the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in a number of fields particularly the existing cooperation and coordination between the Interior Ministries in the two countries and means of developing them, in addition to, discussing a number of issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidi, Interior Ministry's Undersecretary, Sheikh Yahya bin Hamoud al Ma'amari, Governor of Al Buraimi and a number of officials at the Interior Ministry whilst it was attended from the Belarusian side by Igor V. Fissenko, Belarusian ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and accredited and non-resident ambassador to the Sultanate and Valeri Ivanovich, Sultanate Honorary Consul to the Republic of Belarus

On the other hand, Lt.Gen. Malik bin Sulaiman al Ma'amari, Inspector-General of Police and Customs, received at the Police General Command the Interior Minister in the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed relations and fields of joint cooperation between the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the interior Ministry in the Republic of Belarus, particularly in the field of training, exchange of expertise and visits related to police affairs.

The meeting was attended by Maj.Gen. Salim Mussalam Qatan, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs and senior ROP officers.

Gen. Ali bin Majid al Ma'amari, Oman Royal Office Minister, received the Interior Minister in the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting cordial conversations were exchanged and good bilateral relations march binding the Sultanate with the friendly Republic of Belarus and ways of enhancing them in all spheres to achieve joint interest of the two friendly countries were reviewed, besides a number of issues of common concern.
