Tatneft to Open Gas Stations in Belarus

Tatneft will open 38 gas stations in Belarus and possibly increase this number to 100 in the future, Belarussian Prime Minister Sergey Sidorskiy said after meeting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, BELTA reports.

"Two years ago, we agreed that a chain of gas stations would be offered to our colleagues from Tatarstan", Sidorskiy said.

Minnikhanov commented that Tatarstan had a strategic interest in promoting gas stations in Belarus.

The Belarussian Prime Minister said also noted the promise further negotiations hold for co-operation with Belarussian refineries. "We are receiving relevant proposals from the Belarussian side and we are reviewing them", he added.

Belarussian refineries currently process about 1.5 million tons of crude from Tatarstan.
