RIA Novosti cited Mr Kostiantyn Yefimenko Ukrainian Transport and Communications Minister as saying that Ukraine hopes to get USD 120 million to USD 130 million over Venezuelan oil transit to Belarus through Ukrainian territory.

Ukrainian UNIAN information agency quoted the minister as saying that "If the declared amount of oil is transported, Ukraine will earn USD 120 million to USD 130 million from this."

Mr Yefimenko said Ukraine would earn USD 0.27 per 10 tonnes per kilometre in transport tariffs through its territory.

Mr Vladimir Zubkov head of the Belarusian oil company said the supplies of Venezuelan oil to Belarus in 2010 may reach up to 4 million tonnes, in 2011 up to 10 million tonnes.

On April 24th the first oil tanker, the Seastar from Venezuela with 80,000 barrels of crude oil on board arrived in the Ukrainian port of Odessa.
