President of Belarus arrives in Moscow

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Moscow to take part in celebrations to mark the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and, timed to this event, an informal CIS summit. His plane landed at the capital's Vnukovo airport, where he came down the ramp along with his 6-year-old son Kolya. The Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov arrived several hours prior to that. As expected, the President of Belarus will not attend the celebrations planned in the Russian capital on May 9th . According to Lukashenko, since Belarus shall be celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Victory on a scale far greater than any other CIS state, it would not be quite right for him to remain "outside Belarus", ITAR-TASS reported.
