Venez, Belarus Share Eco-Relations

Minsk, June 29 (Prensa Latina) The president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will meet with his Venezuelan counter part, Hugo Chavez, to study projects of mutual interest in several spheres of the economy, official sources informed.

The talks will cover manners in which to increase economic relations as well as cooperation in the area of energy.

During the first visit of the Venezuelan president to this country in July of 2006, both parts signed an agreement of cooperation in the spheres of science and technology as well as four related to energy and petrochemistry.

The secretary of the Belarus Council of Security, Viktor Sheima, visited Venezuela last September to participate in a commission that dealt with energy, technology and military cooperation.

Caracas and Minsk agreed to work towards a strengthening of a multipolar world and criticized the attempts of the United States to impose its hegemony on international relations, press sources reported in this capital.
